Rocket Camp
Camp Director: Matt Huot
Grades 4 – 8 completed
Do you enjoy hands-on activities? Would you like to build rockets that can travel over 200 miles per hour? How about designing a landing craft with a mass of only 45 grams - about the weight of a cell phone - capable of protecting an egg dropping from over 40 feet? Campers will be involved with many different aspects of astronomy, aerospace, science, and math. Campers will tackle problems faced by real NASA scientists and learn the latest information on current space missions. Our goals are to provide meaningful, hands-on experiences in space sciences and engineering by fostering the natural curiosity and interest young learners have in space exploration.
